A decade of Sarasota homes, and most clients come back
We’ve been designing for Sarasota-area homes for over a decade, and most of our clients come back — for a second house, a third house, or the house they just bought out of town. That kind of repeat business only happens when the first project actually goes well and all involved are pleased with the end result.
Our showroom means you’re never picking furniture from a catalog alone. If you want to see and feel a fabric or sit in a chair before it goes in your living room, visit our boutique and Design Studio Annex. It’s a different way of shopping than clicking through photos online, and it’s why so many of our clients trust the pieces we recommend.
We work with residential and commercial clients, though a commercial project carries its own considerations — if that’s what you’re planning, see our commercial and hospitality interior design page instead.
What We Do
Our design services cover the full range of what a Sarasota home might need, from a single room to a full build.
01
Room Refreshes
Not every project needs to start from scratch. New furniture, a better layout, and finishing touches for a space that’s outgrown itself — a primary bedroom that’s felt tired for years, a living room that never quite worked with the furniture you moved in with.
02
Custom Window Treatments
Drapery, shades, and hardware, sized and styled specifically for your windows and your rooms. Off-the-shelf treatments rarely fit Florida’s tall windows and sliding glass doors the way a custom order does. Scale and flow are considered of the utmost importance.
03
Art & Accessory Sourcing
We finish rooms with original artwork from talented local artists, along with the accessories that make a space feel complete rather than just furnished. This is one of the details clients notice most in a finished project.
04
Ground-Up New Construction
For a home built from the ground up, our design input starts early — working alongside your architect and builder on the initial plans, not brought in after the walls are already framed. Furniture placement, lighting, and finish decisions are far easier and less costly to plan before construction locks them in.
05
Turn-Key Furnishing
Turn-key means the entire space is finished before you walk in — furniture, art, and accessories down to the dishes, the silverware, and the linens. You move into a home that’s ready to be lived in.
Fewer surprises, fewer change orders
A designer who’s also NCIDQ-certified can catch problems before they become expensive ones — a wall that can’t move where you want it to, an electrical run that needs to happen before drywall goes up. That’s not a small thing on a ground-up build.
For a room refresh, it means someone who can look at a space and see what’s actually holding it back, not just what’s outdated. And for turn-key projects, it means walking into a finished home where every decision has already been made for you, right down to the flatware in the kitchen drawer.
There's no template we run every job through
Every project starts the same way: an initial meeting to understand what you need and what the space is actually for. From there, the scope depends on the project. A room refresh might move quickly, with sourcing and installation happening in a matter of weeks. A ground-up build means our designers are in the conversation early, working alongside your architect and builder.
From there, we source, we specify, and — if you’ve chosen turn-key — we finish the space completely before you ever have to think about a single throw pillow.

Repeat clients, not one-time projects
A large share of our design clients come back for a second project, then a third. It might be a second home, a house they’ve bought out of town, or simply a new room they’re finally ready to tackle. That pattern only holds up when the first project actually delivers.
It also means our designers get to know how a client actually lives, not just what a single room needs. That context makes every project after the first one faster and more accurate to what you actually want.
Design services at PECKY don’t happen in isolation from the rest of the business, either. If a project calls for a custom-ordered sofa or an exclusive vendor piece, that conversation happens with the same team — see custom furniture and custom orders for how that process works.
Where we design
Planning a project in one of the design-forward communities further out, like Lakewood Ranch? That market has its own considerations, and we’d be glad to walk you through them.

A conversation, not a quote pulled from a price list
Projects at PECKY range widely in scope, from a single room to a full custom build, and the right approach depends on what your space actually needs rather than a fixed package.
Our team will always be upfront with you about what a project like yours typically involves, so you know what to expect before any work begins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Single rooms are common. A lot of our work starts as a room refresh — a primary bedroom, a home office, or a living room that needs new furniture and a better layout.
Absolutely. For ground-up construction, our designers can work alongside your architect and builder from the initial plans, which is the best time to think through furniture placement, lighting, and finishes so that costly mistakes are avoided. We often fine-tune architectural layouts to become more custom to the homeowner.
Turn-key means we furnish and finish the entire space, down to dishes, silverware, and linens. You walk into a finished home.
We do. Our commercial and hospitality design work has some different considerations, which we cover on our commercial and hospitality design page.
Not currently. Our design process is in-person, built around meeting in your space and in our showroom and developing a relationship between the designer and the client.

Ready to start your project?
If your project has a starting point, our team wants to hear about it — whether that’s a single room that needs new life or a lot that hasn’t broken ground yet. There’s no obligation to reaching out, just a conversation about what your space actually needs.
